Oil Painting Head Study by Jenny Liang

This week I have been working few hours each day for the oil portrait study under this spring nice comfortable temperature (60-70F) after the Spring Break. Due to the odor(not friendly, bit toxic) of the oil paints and solvents I like to open the studio window while doing the painting work and the spring temperature is just right time to open the window all day long. I have to wear the lab gloves to avoid the oil paints and solvents getting on my skin (the toxic ingredients could get into the blood stream  if they get on the skin of the hands). So I have to do the protections. The first head study is from Richard Schmid and even though the oil portrait study is quite challenge and the process is much more complex than watercolor but I felt very good about and sometime you want to be challenged and that's how you can get your skill improved.
