"Ski Day" Oil Painting by Jenny Liang

Both oil paintings were finished in one day and totally took me about four hours. Inspiring by the photos I took during our family skiing trip to Blue Mountain during the holiday break and both of the painting were done by using only the palette knife, no single brush was using. and I was pleased with the results. This is the first time I'm using palette knife to paint and I felt that I was doing the sculpture by putting the thick oil paint knife after knife. The best thing that I don't need to care much about the details.

Eggplant

I got bunch of the small eggplants from the farmer market. They are really cheap. Only two dollars for a basket and one basket probably has twenty of them. They are small and fresh. I love its dark purple skin color.

The overall tone is too gray for me. I'm not really satisfy with this painting. Keep practice!
