Both oil paintings were finished in one day and totally took me about four hours. Inspiring by the photos I took during our family skiing trip to Blue Mountain during the holiday break and both of the painting were done by using only the palette knife, no single brush was using. and I was pleased with the results. This is the first time I'm using palette knife to paint and I felt that I was doing the sculpture by putting the thick oil paint knife after knife. The best thing that I don't need to care much about the details.

Watercolor Study by Jenny Liang
It took me three hours to finish this piece ( from Thomas w Schaller) and I need spend more time to work on the rock which was located on the right side of the painting, but I seemed lose my patient today. I love the strong nature light from right side and the shadow. Hopefully I can paint at least one piece per day during the holiday break.

"Fun with Clay" 12-26-2011
Most funny class ever! The first clay class looks very good. We got lot pots come out. Most students had no idea what they were going to make at beginning; however, after they played the soft clay for a while, we got a computer with a child come out; a child's bed with a lamp and a person; a dinning table with pot, spoons, and cups; a cave; a temple. Those ideas just stored in our students memories, once they got the right materials and class, they are just flowed out naturally.
